What do avon perfumes smell like

My first Avon round up was in and my second was in Both get more hits than any post I have ever written, proving that Avon is definitely getting it right. Nostrils a-flaring? The very latest flanker in the Avon little dress series. You can read my review here.

I have the EDT, but I would prefer it to be in eau de parfum form. A vanilla scent right down to its toes. My review is here. Definitely in my top five favourite Avon scents.

This is a woody floral that is dazzlingly feminine. Fans of Sarah Jessica parker Lovely will like this. If you like jasmine sambac and vanilla- a combination that has been huge in the last year, then you will love this one. I found it very similar to Paco Rabanne Olympea, as did many Fragrantica readers. It even comes in ml bottles from time to time. This is a scent I smell very often on other people, possibly more than any other.

I always think it smells warm and woolly like a cosy white blanket. You can buy it here. Another bestseller. This is an elegant mix of plum, gardenia, jasmine and peony, with a musky base of sandalwood.

A bang-on trend combo of jasmine sambac and patchouli. I love this fruity floral and wear it often. Is that OK? There it is. And it wears a little scarf. Check out my review here. Not just my favourite Avon, but in my top ten perfumes of all time.

This is another long lasting fragrance: this time its peony, roses and jasmine that makes me smell like a pale pink bouquet. Every note is delicate and translucent, as if painted in watercolours. Created for spring, but pretty all year round, Viva la Vita is crisp and fresh. It opens with apple and citrus, and morphs into a mimosa floral before settling into a cashmere woody scent. A knockout tuberose scent that combines this unmistakable creamy white flower with the tang of grapefruit.

Read my review here. Very popular and only about a fiver last time I looked. I own a 50ml bottle of Soft Musk, as does my mother and as does my sister. It is a timeless floral musk with a hint of honeysuckle and peach. A couple of sprays and you can still smell it by tea time. I spray it on my wrists and neck at the beginning of the day, smug in the knowledge that I can now bag my daily perfume for a fraction of the price.

By lunchtime, this smugness has worn off. I check my wrists a few hours later and that familiar Daisy scent has gone, trailing off into a deeper vanilla-type smell.

Eve Truth, created by French perfumer Laurent Le Guernec, apparently features notes of amber, gardenia, peony, and cedarwood, Avon tells me. Daisy features wild berries, sandalwood, and violet. Buy it here. After trying the Avon perfume and realising that familiar sweet scent seemed to fade after a few hours, I decide to put the Daisy perfume through the same rigorous and highly-scientific whiff test.

At the end of the day, I can still smell it, in all its sweet glory. These two fragrances have base notes of patchouli, honey and amber.

It contains notes of neroli, Amalfi lemon, raspberry, along with African orange flower, jasmine and gardenia. Bottom notes include white honey, amber and patchouli. The packaging of these two light, feminine scents is very different, but inside the bottle, the smell is remarkably similar — clean, floral, and very wearable.

We get our Milton Lloyd perfumes from their website, but you should look out for them in local discount stores too. These pretty, powdery perfumes have a comparable luxurious, musky base — the bottles are equally lovely and we had a hard time telling the scents apart too. One of the most uncanny perfume dupes out there! This fresh, zingy fragrance is perfect to wear for everyday and at that price you can use as much as you want of this fabulous perfume dupe without the worry of having to replace an expensive bottle.
