In the summer days of my youth, I would ride my bike to her house almost every day to see her, Kandace, and Darrick. She trusted me, and let me take my cousins around on our bikes anywhere we wanted to. I enjoyed many evenings spending the night at her house, where she would let us stay up as late as we wanted watching movies and having fun. I recall her worshipping God in church, and hearing her sweet voice singing to her savior.
She was always trying to lead people to the Lord, and that was what her life was about. I will miss her dearly, but I don't have sorrow because I know where she is. Thank you for being a great friend, Aunt Kandy. Landreneau was one of my graduate studies nursing instructors, she was very encouraging. This is the first time in many of our lives of not having Kandy close by.
Whether it was at Wyndotte Okla youth camp or at church with the best of music. Loved the Costley K's. And when they sang, to see the faces of Ralph and Helen with the glow of God the Father on their faces.
Having Dr. Mike at Frisco was so special. He took great care of my parents and also gave me medical advice that I still use that saves me lots of pain and keeps me healthy. To see Mike and Kandy's children grow up and to be in their home and to have our kids babysit theirs. So special. Memories of when they took our kids to Disney World, just to help out with these two adorable kids Kandace Lee and Darrick. Love to think of Mike and Kandy now in heaven and what they might be doing.
I can only imagine! Thank you Lord for taking care and preparing an eternal place for our friends. I can see and hear them saying, Don't miss heaven. Blessings, Comfort and Grace and Peace!!!
Kandace always had a bright smile and a kind word. She will be missed. Prayers for family and friends. I had the pleasure of knowing Kandace back in the 80's. Even then she had a special quality about her, a wise woman at a very young age. May the blessed hope of reunion comfort you during this time.
Sincerely, Anne Ponder Kilpatrick. I remember beautiful Kandace standing in our kitchen. What a small world we live in and our paths continue to parallel. We raised our sons in Haughton and our daughter in law was just diagnosed with brain cancer. I pray that the love of our God will envelop and comfort you always. We carpooled and solved many a problem on the way to Pittsburg. She was such a beautiful gift to this world, and has touched so many lives.
She loved finding solutions and the answers, now she knows all, and has the ultimate address. You all remain in my prayers. Tina Hickam Howard. So sad for you The world has lost an outstanding beautiful person- heaven's gain!
Praying for you in the days and months to come. Who has influenced your work? There is, for me in every conversation some inkling of our deeper inner life seeking to find its way out. To say it another way, I am never having a conversation in which I believe the Spirit is not integrally involved in guiding and directing. I like a lot of genres, but always come back to Jazz.
I'm an avid hiker - though I am more drawn to the idea of "sauntering". What's your favorite place to visit? My favorite place is actually in my own backyard! Just for Fun What was your first job? A first-edition of Edgar Rice Burroughs, given to my grandmother on her 18th birthday. It was given to my father on his 18th, then to me, and I have given it to my daughter.
If you have friends coming over, what would you cook?
