EVEN with all this, still I prefer to have this over my previous iPhone 3GS because it allows me to actually customize the phone without the use of hacks and what not. Turn screen brightness to the lowest level. Its still bright enough to see everything clearly. Turn off wifi, bluetooth and sattelite when not in use. Use advanced task manager I heard its better than advanced task killer to kill running apps that are not being used. My fone lasts around 2 days with the above settings.

This happens when you have had the phone for a while and you find that the time you leave it alone increases. Well it is just these times that make up the most usage of the battery assuming you arent clicking the screen or watching the videos constantly during the day. This is one of the main drains on battery power. Well this setCPU also works in readonly mode if your phone is straight from your service provider and not unlocked or whatever. I found that my phone was running at full cpu speed of MHZ even when it was idle. I dont know what it was doing but for its clockspeed to be maxed out like that must have been using more battery power then necessary when it was in my pocket waiting for the next call or usage.

I get 2 days moderate use and one day heavy use without charging. Once, my battery died while I was out for the evening, and when I reconnected it to the charger, it would not take a new charge for anything. SE will send you a pre-conditioned battery, but after a month or so it will be as weak as a kitten.. Got the X10 now for a few days and batterlife does pretty well. Using the phone whole day to make pics and upload them to facebook.

If you are really satisfied with the nokia , buy it. The problems and solutions may differ from phone to phone. If you have a subscription phone, you can usually switch phones at your provider… Be patient with the X10 as well.

I have tried really all the settings as advised on many webpages during that time. Including software reinstall several times. I even sent my phone to service for the battery claim. To my surprise the phone last much longer.
It is capable lasting like days of standby. I have never had such long standby time before. During last days I tested it a bit in different areas. These tests confirmed to me that I can get the power consumption only app. A lot of use. I get 2 whole days with 11 apps running. Airplane mode at night for 6 hours. What really matters is setting email sync to twice a day instead of push. I never had an android device working that long, even with much bigger batteries.
That does kind of confirm that it mostly has to do with wifi. Is it possible that there is no power management for the wifi chip, or there is a bug that drains the battery when on wifi?
I think it is too vague. As I stated: the plus version is far worse with same settings. Has anyone tried newer android or iphones? They definately do not last any longer than SFOS devices. By constantly sending tracking data they are actually worse. I really do not think there is anything to comlain, espessially if we compare to other linux phones Librem 2 hours max, lol.
Another new Xperia 10 plus owner here, also jumping from an Xperia X… I was happy with the X as a phone but being stuck on Android 4 meant no new versions of Firefox, which is the main application I use. It was bought second hand of apparent light use for about quid and unfortunately came with Android 10 but was able to put it back to 9 using Emma before installing SFOS.
As the screen is so long it is difficult to keep it balanced and text on, accuracy is currently much worse than the X. Vibration does not work well at all… the motor does work in VibrationTest, but haptic feedback is mostly noise rather than vibration and if typing rapidly it seems to just give up totally and go silent.
The only visible hardware improvements over the X are CPU speed, camera performance, and having slightly more screen estate… everything else seems like a downgrade. Firefox The only way to stop it is to close Firefox.

I am barely using the phone at all with WiFi and 4G enabled, decent strength signals - maybe 10 mins of browsing, no calls, just a few texts, and it will barely last a day, which as a vague guess is about half the battery life of the X.
Adaptive brightness is turned a fair way down, screen is no brighter than what the X was. Push email from Moxier mail eats the battery, as do many of the widgets and turning the screen up to full brightness. If you dial all or some of these features down then you'll probably eke out around two days' use if you don't hammer the phone too much - but then again you shouldn't have to do that if you bought the phone with these purposes in mind.
Google Maps obviously offers the most familiar interface for most users and the new Android upgrade to 4. It's also blindingly quick on the Xperia X10, with GPS picking us up pretty quickly too although in built-up areas it struggled somewhat to find and maintain a connection.
